Mako Wins Security Innovation of the Year

Mako Networks has been announced as the winner of the Security Innovation of the Year category at the 2012 Digital Entrepreneur Awards. The event, held on 16 October at the landmark Hilton Hotel in Manchester, was attended by key figures and businesses from the UK’s digital industry.

 

 

For merchants, Mako provides a unique cloud-based system used to connect and protect businesses that process payment card transactions over a broadband Internet connection. Protected by international patents and years of development efforts, the Mako System remains the world’s only Payment Card industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) -certified system utilising the public Internet.

 

Chris Nation receives the award on behalf of Mako Networks.

Receiving the award, Mako Networks’ Commercial Manager for Europe Chris Nation said: “Mako Networks was the first network management company in the world to be PCI DSS Level 1 certified, and is also listed on the Visa Europe Merchant Agent program as a certified provider. The company has put significant investment into our security solution for merchants, helping prevent data and security breaches that can damage their business. The international Mako team from Auckland to San Francisco and London are extremely pleased to have had our research and development efforts recognised by the Digital Entrepreneur Awards.”
