Case Study: Mako Networks Connects FIX Convenience Stores

Thanks to a new store fit-out in 2009, the FIX Convenience Store chain owned by Star Metro received an overhaul to its Point of Sale systems and network links. As all the store Internet connections were migrated onto IP-based broadband, the FIX stores needed a robust security solution that would also create secure VPN links back to the Star Metro head offices. That’s when the IT manager deployed the Mako System to help FIX stores get a more modern network with the features they needed.

Using tools like Mako’s secure VPN connections and content filtering, FIX has the tools needed to efficiently manage 12 locations across New Zealand.
