Mako Networks managed firewalls can now be deployed at all Citgo stations regardless of what POS systems are in use. Mako’s Citgo-approved firewall solution for PCI DSS compliance will protect Citgo stations using legacy POS solutions as well as those upgrading to the latest POS offerings. The expansion of the list of Citgo POS systems that Mako can protect gives a growing footprint among Citgo jobbers who can employ the Mako Networks solution.
Mako has been PCI DSS certified for six years in a row, with the company’s most recent certification under the v3.1 standard completed in May of 2016. With Mako’s provision of simple, secure cloud-managed PCI DSS compliant networks for multisite businesses, Mako integrates a number of important functions into a highly usable and scalable control interface. Mako integrates a full suite of services including cloud management, reporting, Internet and Wi-Fi connectivity, LTE failover, VPNs, firewalls, end-to-end PCI DSS certification and content filtering into one, easy-to-manage system. The cloud based Mako Central Management System (CMS) allows administrators to manage networks and broadband connections at thousands of sites through a single web interface without jeopardizing their networks’ PCI-compliant status and without the need for onsite technical resources or frequent onsite visits. Companies with distributed enterprise environments and PCI network obligations are adopting Mako’s unique platform to simplify administration, improve visibility into their environments and provide enterprise-wide control mechanisms that greatly reduce security risks and limit PCI scope.
